Team: Village
Seer
The most powerful information role in the village.
- Power
- Looks at one player's card, or two cards from the center.
- At night
- Wakes up in position 6
- Win condition
- At least one werewolf is eliminated.
How to play this role
During the night, the Seer may either look at another player’s card, or look at two of the three center cards.
She plays for the village. Her information comes early in the night: cards may have been swapped afterwards by the Robber, the Troublemaker or the Drunk.
Strategies and tips
- Looking at the center is often safer: you will know which roles nobody has, and you can unmask the liars who claim them.
- Do not reveal yourself in the first minute: the wolves will do everything to discredit you.
- Your information is precious, but revealing yourself too early makes you the perfect target.
Frequently asked questions
- Does the Seer see the players’ final card?
- No, she sees the card at the moment she wakes up. Swaps may happen after her.
- Is it better to look at a player or at the center?
- The center gives two sure facts about absent roles; a player gives direct information that can be disputed. Both are valid.
